A* for Maik Taylor as well. When one of your players was down, he was taking a lot of stick off a young scouser on the front row calling him "a fat *******". Maik came over and lifted his shirt up to reveal a 6 pack and made a big belly motion to the lad. Good fun and a top guy.

Hi all,

My estimation Of Birmingham City Football Club went up last night from the moment I arrived off the M6. As a red I suppose I am the least favourite person on this site but I thought I needed to give credit where it is due.

Top Marks for Birmingham on the location and accessiblity of St Andrews. We parked in the McDonalds at the bottom of the ground and it was less than 200 yards to the visitors entrance. Inside the stadium was basic but very easy to get a pint and throw a bet on - (Although my fowler and 4 -0 bet never looked like coming off). Our support seemed really subdued but luckliy we started to sing and shout at around 7.40pm.

Our support was in good voice and it was a pleasure to sing the old:

"Steve BRUCE, he's got a big fat ed, he's got a big fat ed. he's got a big fat ed, STEVE BRUCE"

Our away support is class , much better than Anfield on league games and we had good banter with a small section of your fans.

Onto the game and to be fair you put us under some pressure at the start. Jerome is getting a lot of bad press on here but to be honest he was your best player all night, he hussled and bussled all night and I was impressed by his work rate. Once we got the goal though I felt that it was game over as Rafa can close games up very easliy.

Nice to see you supporters clapping Momo off ,gutted about his injury but it happens in football. :applause: .

Your fans didn't seem to be up for it till Bellamy missed the peno and thats when you looked most threatening. Dudek saved 2 really good chances so I would not be too downhearted. If one would of gone in, it would of been a different game.

A* for Maik Taylor as well. When one of your players was down, he was taking a lot of stick off a young scouser on the front row calling him "a fat *******". Maik came over and lifted his shirt up to reveal a 6 pack and made a big belly motion to the lad. Good fun and a top guy.

All in all, it was a close game but we never got out of second gear, we had Bellamy, Fowler, Xabi, Gonzo, Agger and Pennant on so we weren't a bunch of kids or reserves.

BTW Pennant? Is he actually any good?

Sum up, great ground location, good fans and you won't be in the silly Coca Cola league come September with or without old fat ed.

Reguards

Just wait until next season, we might have a few surprises for you **thumbup

Nah, you misunderstood what he was trying to say, it wasnt a belly he was imitating. He was saying "look at all the space you have to shove things up your top when you're out robbing" ;)

(I'm only pulling your leg scouser)

No jerome was your best player! DJ Campbell please!!

All around us whenever jerome got on the ball, everyone was saying, he was the dangerman. I think he is a good player and will do well for you.
